 * i have a very high traffic site and it seems that the api calls from the server
   are being blocked is there anyway i can host the files local or get my ip address
   whitelisted

 * blocked from it seems to be wordpress.org & wordpress.com all access from that
   ip just gets connection timed out other ips in network can connect fine all traffic
   is legit just high traffic site

 * As far as I am aware, neither wordpress.com mor wordpress.org blocks access to
   any API by ip. Are you sure that your hosts aren’t blocking those sites? I’ve
   seen that before.

 * no they are not. they changed the ip of the server for me same network same setup
   and everything works perfect again
