 * How do i get my API key?
    My website isn’t (or never was) hosted ON WordPress,
   so can i get sent an API key, or do i need to start my site all over ?
 * – i don’t remember ever having an API key, and i’ve been with WordPress for… 
   years.

    if it is you can sign up for [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com)
   and then go to the [profile](http://en.wordpress.com/profile/) page and copy 
   the value for ‘Your API Key’
