    Can someone please tell me how to get my API authorization number? I know
   this is a basic question, but could not find it on the forum. Thanks.
 * I need it for a plugin to fight Spam.

 * Ya know.. if you look at the plugins page, there’s a link in the description 
   of the Akismet plugin.
 * Anywho – go to wordpress.com. Sign up for an account. Yes, you are signing up
   for a free blog. No, you need not use it. Log in to your newly created wordpress.
   com blog. One of the pages will have your API Key. I think it is also emailed
   to you.

    Went to the plugin page. Activated the Akismet plug in. It is asking
   me for my API key. I have a WP account, but don’t understand how I get my API
   key. Don’t remember it being mailed to me. Anyone with a helpful answer would
   be great.
