  • ThemesDepot has stopped any support, The theme is great as a directory listing theme, has all the birds and whistles.

    There are some small problems:
Maps no longer work with the Theme – even with the Google API installed. When adding a listing the Theme used to find the location via the entered address, not any more.
the output from this doesnot show the map location and any icons that should be placed on the map showing the listings all over the country.

I use to to have the map show all of my listings, any person could move the map to theit location and click the state, county and all the icons for companies that were close to them would be at their fingertips.

    any help?
Been using this for over 8 years, really dont want to change themes? But if you know of a theme that is the same and I can import my data to the new theme let me know?

I am using the template with no maps for now. if you search you can see the map. google doesn not recinoize the api? if that works i woud be ok with that for now.

help with maps and my theme anyone!

Opening this support thread under the Breadcrumb NavXT Multidimension Extensions support forum probably isn’t the correct area. From what I can tell, that theme is no longer being developed, it looks like it is time to move on to a new theme (or write your own, _s or any of the twenty* themes that ship with WordPress are a good starting point). Going forward, I would use a plugin for something like maps (especially if you are entering data for points, routes, etc) rather than rely on a feature in a theme (the map plugin will probably have more users, works with multiple themes, and be supported longer than a theme from a marketplace).

    Thanks @mtekk John,

Any ideas what you would suggest, The Theme does have the function
    function input_admin_head()

even with hooks the mapping with API doesnt work.

I will find a pluggin-but need this to plot my category icon onto the map and go back to my db to locate that exact member company associated with that unique pointer on the map.

Great theme for plotting members locations, with map display, but as you know not every author stays and keeps developing.

-thanks for the answer and my wrong losting in this category.

@frankiestar13 I’m a former user of Atlas directory theme. I used it for 4 years before switching to a more interactive and modern theme. I’ve been using Listable by Pixelgrade for 3 years now, and I’m honestly 85% satisfied with this theme.

It is missing some crucial features (like the ability to display all pins/listings on the map, even though not all listings are loaded) and I often rand about it, but all in all, it is a great theme that looks professional (reminds me of AirBnB from two years ago) and is fast if the right caching configuration is set up.

Here is one the sites I’m using Listable for:
Since Listable and Atlas do not have the exact same data fields (for instance, opening days and hours: unlike Atlas where you input this data for each day of the week, Listable uses free text – you basically write what you want). Therefore you might want to pick a theme that uses the same format/fields, to make the migration process easier to manage.

There are other great themes out there, in addition to Listable: Listify, MyListings, etc A simple search on envato will return dozens of results.

I wish you good luck with the migration, and if you need any additional input, just shout!
