  • Hi,

I’m trying to get my Google AdSense going on my WP site. I’ve generated the code and pasted this into individual posts/pages on my site. I do this by going to Edit Post then clicking on the HTML version of the post. Then it’s a simple copy and paste job.

But it’s been a few days since I’ve done this and there’s no sign that the code is working properly. Eg. There isn’t even a space set aside on my webpages where the ad should be, so I’m guessing it’s not that Google hasn’t served ads to the site yet; there’s just something wrong with the code.

Anyone has experience with AdSense able to help? Am I doing something wrong here? And yes, in case you’re wondering I’ve tried posting this in Google’s AdSense forum but didn’t get answers. Hoping someone can help here! Thanks in advance.

  • Most of the time you wont enter it in the post itself and you will put it in a widget or in the template.

I would recommend just trying to install and run http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/adsense-plugin/ that way you know it is entered correctly.

I have added the codes for the ads to appear, I even know how to align them “center”, “left”, or “right”. But how do I get rid of all the empty space they have created around the ads?? please help. And I don’t think the plugin I’m using is even working, I hard coded it, so I think if I removed the plugin, the ads would still appear, haven’t done that yet to see though!

Correct, the AdSense code must be contained within a Widget: Appearance/Widgets/Choose your sidebar widget /add basic “text” block to widget/ paste code inside and save/ refresh. Should be good to go.

Hello Browndst, I was wondering, I am having a problem with alignment of my Adsense ad’s inside the widget. Can you help me with center alignment and where to edt? Thanks in advance
    Allan
