• So I’m using ACF Google Maps and it generally works fine.
Except for one very irritating feature – each time I type in a address, it pre-fills the text based on a drop down list (presumably, obtained from Google).
But that text is just too verbose, and I need a shorter address text to be displayed, not the whole zip code, country, etc.
Given the marker on the map, it is enough for users to find the location, so no need for all the extraneous address text.

Does anyone know what part of code to change to avoid ACF Google Map from erasing user-typed text in the address field?

[Sadly, looks like ACF authors don’t want WordPress.org forums, and want to make all users register on their web site for support threads.

Oh well, so anyone else with any tips, please post here. I’ll look around the code eventually and add a comment or a patch here when I can.]
