Any way to reduce height of the options box at top?

This is a real power-productivity tool – will memo the client to make
donation to authors Pär Thernström & MarsApril.Used here mainly for posts and as there are lots of them, it would be efficient to reduce the height of the options box [All Public Trash Expand/Collapse/Search] at the top of the column (using effectively 8 lines – about 20% of the screen height) to 1 line.
Yes, could use expand/collapse on post list but a quick scroll down suits better.
One other boon: A hex color picker to change the color of the rectangular status boxes of posts
For me GREEN would be the intuitive color for completed posts, not plain grey.
And RED for private (we use for posts with hassles/delays) not GREEN.
BLUE is fine for future = ‘blue skies’ (?)We tweaked these in the code for last version but new version has overwritten our mods, and no time to go back and do it again.
