When I activate the plugin, all of the dynamic content provided by the Inceptio theme (posts carousels, image carousels, tabs, and even the Google Map) becomes static on the page. Instead of a rotating carousel of posts, the posts are now listed down the page, one underneath the other. The images that were displayed in an image carousel simply disappear. Topics that were displayed in a nice tabbed UI are now listed down the page, one underneath the other. And the Google map doesn’t display.

Is there a switch that can be used to turn off the placester CSS? Alternatively, do you have a version of the plugin that works with Inceptio.

    Thanks

    Hi Darryl,

I’m not familiar with the Inceptio theme, and we don’t have a copy here to work with. But it does sound like the conflict must have to do with either CSS or JS that we are loading. Our plugin doesn’t provide wp-admin configurability for controlling this, but there are a couple of PHP files that can be edited.

Is your site publicly visible? I may be able to determine just from the front end which file(s) are involved, and then see about a workaround. Send a request in to support@placester.com and we can troubleshoot.

We determined the issue to be that Placester and Inceptio load incompatible versions of the fancybox JavaScript library. This can be addressed with a minor code edit to one of the PHP source files.
