    Hi there,

We’d love to be able to make some changes to the “A pending revision has been submitted” email.

I have a client who wants to feed the revision emails into their internal ticketing system so they can be assigned for review. Specifically they want to have the email of the user that submitted the revision in the email so they can trigger a confirmation to that user.

But I think this is a request for the ability to apply more customization there in general. It seems like it would be cool to be able to filter that email in some way and allow developers to customize it.

I’m thinking maybe something like the filter hooks that Gravity Forms uses where, if I remember correctly, it passes in a full block of data (form or email) together with an array of related data so it’s easy to get context and edit the content before it’s sent.

Alternatively, add a simple templating system in the WP admin so I can write the email and have the plugin substitute appropriate values (eg “Dear {REVIEWER_NAME}, a new {POST_TYPE_NAME} has been submitted for review by {REVISION_AUTHOR_NAME}”)

I know there’s some customization available through the existing plugin options (https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/emails-revisionary/) that MIGHT solve our specific need, but I think this would be a more general feature.

Any way to do this now? Or any chance of adding it to the todo list?

    Thanks

    Jon
