Any way to change the link ?

What i need is when linking to a categori your nomal link is something like :

http://localhost/wordpress/?cat=2

Is there a way to change it to :

http://localhost/wordpress/test

and when there is a page behind it :

http://localhost/wordpress/test/post name

or something similar 🙂
