Any registration plugin suggestions?

    Hi,

    I would like users to be able to sign up as subscribers to my website but I don’t really want them to end up in the admin/dashboard.

    I have been searching for a plugin that does what I need and so far 2 have come close but neither do everything I need in one.

    I have tried ‘Register Plus Redux’ which appeared to do the job, with customised login/registration screen, extra required fields for registration, custom email templates for account verification. But the annoying thing I have found is that the user is left in the admin area after registering or logging in for the first time instead of being sent back to the website. I think this will probabaly confuse my subscribers as they may not realise they have to click the site name at the top of the page to return to the site.

    Another plugin I liked was the ‘Theme My Login’ which is perfect for keeping users out of the admin. It even allows custom emails for account verification, but it doesn’t allow me to add any extra registration fields and as I intend to email newsletters to my subscribers, I need as least an opt out box at registration.

    Can anyone suggest either a hack for the above plugins or another that will cover all my needs?

    i use ajax login you can see it top right off my blog.

    i have adapted it to look like a twitter login and added different setting for super admin.

    I am going to turn this into a full plugin when i get round to it.

    the only thing is the logout goes to a wordpress page i just need to debug this.

    I had the same issue didnt want people to be redirected to the backend off worpress when registering this is a good solution.

    I use this with user access anager to set permissions off client pages

    Forgot to say if you want extra fields you can use

    Register Plus

    or

    Force User Field Registration

    As the developer of Register Plus Redux, you wouldn’t believe how often this comes up. Regardless, many of my users use Peter’s Login Redirect for just this purpose.

    Thanks radiok, I did just find another option as well the Login Configurator. I don’t need the page customisation options but the redirect seems to do the job.
