  • Just a quick word from me (the Autoptimize developer); if AdRotate depends on javascript (probably does) then in case of issues you might need to exclude the javascript (and dependancies, if any) from being aggregated/ minimized. I’ll keep an eye this thread, let me know if you need assistance.

hi futtta, thx for the hint, but didn’t help! I just unchecked the option “optimize javascript” and cleared autoptimize & cachify & browser caches, but the problem still exists 🙁 changed option back again

    you could always try:
    * adrotate with autoptimize & cachify
    * adrotate with cachify but without autoptimize
    * adrotate with autoptimize but without cachify

that should allow you to isolate which if the two is causing this.

regarding autoptimize specifically you could also disable HTML-optimization (or check the option to keep the comments) as some ad-related plugin depend on some funky stuff in the HTML itself.

I didn’t want to test it during the day, but now there aren’t so many visitors anymore…and bingo, problem seems to be cachify, but not in conjunction with adrotate alone, but probabyl just with the add-on “Extended AdRotate Ad Placements”

I’m not familiar with the cachify and autoptimize plugins but they probably will work fine if you don’t make it too complex.

The extended ad placements thing hasn’t been updated for years and doesn’t really add anything anyway. I’m not sure why it exists…
