This was asked almost 3 years ago: When will BackWPup support SFTP? SFTP is more or less standard these days. Any plans on this?

I am also interested to know this.
Nobody uses FTP these days, and most hosting providers disable FTP by default. SFTP is a must in 2023.

Hi @cutu234 @eusebiuoprinoiu Thank you for asking, the SSH-FTP backup is on our roadmap but currently I can’t make sure when the feature is released.

Will update you when I have something new!
