    It’s been 7 or 8 months now and this plugin does not work at all. Any plans to fix it this year 2021?

    for the past 7 months when trying to connect this plugin to my facebook page. I have been getting this

    “Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!”
    “Please try again.”

    Our business facebook page is over a year old with over 10k likes on the page.

    Hi @ukenpachi – First, make sure you’re updated to the latest version of the “Facebook for WooCommerce” plugin.

    Then, at the connection step “What is Woocommerce Integration allowed to do” make sure all fields are enabled. Facebook recently updated its settings to toggle “Manage your business” permission to Off by default.

    If none of those things work, as the error that you’re seeing isn’t very informative, we have a snippet that will give us some additional error information. This should give us a better indication as to what might be happening here.

    Can you please add the following snippet to your site and attempt to connect to Facebook again? If you aren’t familiar with adding custom code to your site, here is some information as to how to do it. We recommend the free Code Snippets method.

    Once the snippet is in place and you have had a chance to try to connect to Facebook again, would you please send us a screenshot or text of any additional error messages that show?

    Hi, I found what the issue is, which was actually to do with Facebook. You guys need to look into it which might explain why the review for the plugin is bad.
    I created a new Facebok business account to test this out and this is the issue.

    Connecting the plugin to the new facebook works fine, it creates 2 new users “WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE)”
    and “Partner Created System User”

    If you deactivate the woocommerce facebook plugin or delete it and reinstall it again and connect to your facebook business account, you get the error I mentioned above in this ticket. To resolve this, you need to go into facebook manager and delete the 2 news users created by the plugin “WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE)”
    and “Partner Created System User” and then connect it again, and it will work.

    Suggest fix 1: 1 show a useful error message so user can manually delete those 2 users.

    Suggest fix 2: Facebook automatically check if this was connected before and then user the existing users “WooCommerce Extension V2 System User (FBE)”
    and “Partner Created System User”

    Suggest fix 3: Create a new user again with prefix of _1 or something.

    Hopefully that helps the dev to fix the issue, if you can’t do it. I will be happy to create those fixes for a small fee.
