• Hello All, As the title says all HTML is getting converted to HTML entities, and I haven’t been able to figure this out, so I’m looking for some help.

I am running wordpress 4.1.1, the TwentyFifteen theme without any plugins. I have added several text widgets which hold some very simple HTML. When I save the widget the HTML gets converted to HTML entities. This started happening on another site on the same machine so I downloaded a new instance of wordpress and set it up using a separate database. It’s a very simple and basic site, but the problem happens there as well. the site is located at:

    http://wip.unform.com/

where you can see the three text widgets I am talking about. I have also re-installed wordpress from the dashboard’s updates menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in solving this problem.

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Daryl

  • It looks like you have the entered HTML wrapped in quotes. Remove those.

Hi and thanks for your reply, but there are no quotes around any of the HTML in the three text widgets, titled Text Widget, Second Text Widget and Third Text Widget. What makes you think there are quotes?

    Thanks again for your reply.

Did you ‘Cut and Paste’ the text in the widgets or did you type out? More specifically, did you cut and paste from a Rich Text Editor (Like MS Word, A Website, an HTML email)? Can you create a new widget with just some basic hand typed text?
