    Hi guys,

Not sure even if this is the correct forum, but here goes…

I first noticed this issue a couple of weeks ago, whereby when viewing the source code of a website on Google Chrome, the code goes into lines a million miles long instead of word-wrapping.

Firefox did the same thing, but there’s an option in Firefox to ‘restore to defaults’.

Looked all over to try and find a similar option for Google Chrome, but no-one seems to know.

The question is then, how do you implement ‘word-wrap’ when vieing a website’s source code when using Google Chrome?

    Thanks for any advice!

That only seems to be a problem for me when the site has been ‘optimized’ by certain plugins…

The times when that has been a problem, I did a full highlight of the whole page’s HTML and imported that into my Notepad++ editor which does word wrap and some formatting of code so very well.

I do wish Chrome allowed the assignment of that display task to an editor but the workaround is fine for me.

Maybe that will work for you…

    Hi, @jnashhawkins

No I don’t think that ‘optimisation’ is the problem, as I also tried viewing the source of Facebook and twitter, again showing a million miles long lines of code.

I guess until a solution is found, I’ll have to view my source code on Firefox.

In any case, this is an issue best addressed on the various Chrome support groups.
