    Hello,

I’m using the latest version of CF7 with v3 API. I only load CF7 js & css using filters.
But the new v3 recaptcha loading site wide. Is there any filter for it so I can not load the recaptcha v3 as well?

Loading on every page is necessary for reCAPTCHA to do accurate bot detection. If you made it load only on contact form pages, it might lead to quite high false detection rate.

Since reCAPTCHA v3 doesn’t interrupt users, we recommend adding reCAPTCHA v3 to multiple pages. In this way, the reCAPTCHA adaptive risk analysis engine can identify the pattern of attackers more accurately by looking at the activities across different pages on your website.

OK, that is interesting to know, and clears up one of my own queries then.

I am being asked on EVERY page to go through the verification for reCaptcha. This is not a case of not interrupting users! Please tell me how to stop this. I am testing my website for broken links and on every page the verification window comes up and I have to click on the image blocks to move on.

Is there anyway to make v2 an option in a plugin update and not force users to use v3?

…and the issue seems to have been…
I was using a VERSION 2 for reCaptcha!
Hope this helps others that will make my same mistake.
I’ll let you know if anything further surfaces after more testing.

It might make sense to add some extra WPCF7_OPTIONS for ReCAPTCHA v3.

This could allow users with suitable WP skills to fine tune their use of ReCAPTCHA v3 with CF7, while keeping desirable default options for most users.

@enoughtobedangerous posted the following in another thread. Seems to be the best solution! Perhaps CF7 could add an option in the plugin settings to turn off the badge and place the copy from Google (below) on any page with a form on the next update?

“You are allowed to hide the badge as long as you include the reCAPTCHA branding visibly in the user flow. Please include the following text.”
