Yes, we have a payment gateway available for Stripe: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/extensions/stripe-payment-gateway/

I know. I have that payment gateway, but I wanted to know if it processes debit transactions. Now that I examine Stripe a bit more I realize that they likely only process Visa or Mastercard debit cards, which probably get entered the same way (I assume). They don’t process regular debit cards, do they?

    Ah, yes, it does.

Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards are entered the same way. Both are processed fine through Stripe.

Stripe does not support “secure code” – so that excludes most debit cards – at least virtually all debit cards issued in the Eurozone (Maestro and similar) – because they require “Secure Code” or similar methods.

(also many debit cards don’t have a expiry date – so in that case they are out of question too).

Is there a processor you are aware of that you would like to use?

Nope – just looked through here and thought to give this as input. I so far haven’t seen many possibilities at all on the web where Maestro cards with Secure Code are supported. Secure Code itself is nowadays quite common for Mastercard/Visa – but I think even most Maestro card users never set it up. Essentially for right now debit cards in Europe outside Spain/UK remain mainly for offline payments.

I’ll keep my eyes open for one and let you know if I learn about one.
