I was looking at some Google recommendations for a WordPress site I have, and they recommended gzipcompression. So I looked into it.
It seems you can enable a plugin, or you can simply go to your wp-admin/options.php page and put a “1” in the box next to gzipcompression.
Because it isn’t enabled as a default setting, I’m wondering if there is any possible “danger” to enabling it (aside from very old browsers potentially having a problem with it).
