anubis theme not working

I really want to use the anubis-10 theme by jauhari. For some reason if I switch to it in presentation my page never loads. The browser just stays blank.

Any other themes I try work except ones by jauhari. I tried another of his and no go. My friend tried them and it works fine with his hosting/setup.

Like I said I designed the whole site around that theme and would like to figure this out. wth could it be?

I use globat as my hosting and contacted them. They said they are running WP 2.2? They offer a one click install of WP – which I did. Should I try a manual install maybe 2.3.1? If so any guides to do that?
