I have been getting reports from some readers that the Anti-Spam plugin doesn’t allow them to leave comments. Here is an email from one of our readers: When I try to leave a comment I get the following: “Word Press Error. Try again.” I’ve tried several different things, but to no avail. I typed the current year into the current year box to see if that would do anything, but the same thing happened.

At least three people reported this issue in the past week. They see the hidden box and can’t leave a comment.

However other people have no problem leaving comments. And have no issues. I can’t reproduce the problem in my browser either. Is the Anti-Spam plugin incompatible with certain browsers?

  • Very strange because users should no see the input.
If they see the input – so they have javascript disabled.
But even with js disabled if users enters current year – the comment should be submitted.

Can you provide more details about it?
What browsers and version of browsers do the users with problems have?
What exact errors these users got?

Thanks for the quick response. I also thought it was strange that only some people experience it. I have sent them an email asking for details about their operating system and browser. I will let you know what they say as soon as I hear back from them. Thanks again!
