• I purchased the Premium version of this plugin. It’s way too convoluted for most people to figure out and you’re still going to have to make a lot of edits for the menu to look nice. In addition, upon deactivate, this plugin leaves database traces in your install. I was looking for a quick way to edit the full-width header but this isn’t it. Emailed support-of course, no reply. Money wasted.

@quadlayers I have redacted ALL of your login asks. Do not repeat that again; that is why your account is on moderation watch.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    It’s also never necessary.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

Just to explain something, if you don’t want to offer free support in the forums, that’s fine. We don’t require it. We DO recommend that you update your readme to state that support is only found on your official forums, so that the forum volunteers here can redirect people and point out “They DID tell you”

But if you’re going to offer free support via the forums, then you need to help people here in the forums. Not on your private system.

We provide support in the forums. As you can see all our tickets have a response

However, we want to get a direct talk with the users who leave a bad review

Usually, this is the best way to understand how to improve the plugin as they are users who have been frustrated with the plugin

Thanks, but do you think you can address this part? ‘Cause you missed the big thing.

    It’s important.

We recommend you ask them here, in the forums. That way, everyone will see you being a good developer who tries to work with people. Does wonders for your rep.
