  • OK, so now I have RSS feeds. People can access them using any of a number of news aggrigators by pointing them to “myblog.com/etc”. So the question is, how do they know that the feeds are available and what URL they need to use to access them? Is there a common method of letting people know you are offering RSS feeds? A link of some sort? I have looked on other sites that I know have RSS feeds available and I don’t see anything that says “RSS feeds available here” or some such.

  • Usually will see an RSS or XML image on the site. That is how I know they have an RSS feed available.

Is there any “standard format” for such an image? Could you point me to an example? And, is there any way to make the image a link. I’m still unclear on how a subscriber would get the URL.

Just have a look around the thousands of WP blogs, willing to bet 99% contain just the code you desire. And many may also have the images.

my site http://www.tivoblog.com has an XML image along the right hand side. Check it out…
