Another Pagination Questions

I just started my blog and the minute there were enough enteries to extend beyond one page, WP created a second page and when this happened by sidebars ended up at the bottom of the first page.

How can I make it so WP only displays one page and the rest is archived? And how can I get my sidebars back up where they where?
