# Another 500 Internal Server Error

 * I’ve been having an internal server error for a few days. I have a blog at arikatt.
   com/joez. It’s run on a friend’s domain, so I don’t have access to the backend
   other than the WP dashboard. Well, I haven’t really been doing anything with 
   the blog for a few months, and when I went to look at it a few days ago it started
   giving me problems.
 * I CAN view the site normally with no problems.
    I CAN log in to the site (I see
   the bar on top of the blog).
 * Up until a day or so ago I could go into the WP dashboard but clicking going 
   into anything (posts, plugins, etc.) cause a “500 Internal Server Error.”
 * My “webmaster” (i.e. my friend who owns the domain) was able to see all the files
   in the backend, but since then I can login and see the blog, but if I attempt
   to enter the dashboard I get:
 * `blockquote` Internal Server Error
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error
   occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log. `
   blockquote`
 * I’ve read a lot of posts about this on the forum, but none of them seem to have
   the same circumstances as I do. Can anyone help?

 * Weird.
 * The site is rendering fine for me.
 * And, I can get to the wp-admin log-in screen.
 * Maybe you should clear the cache on your browser or try a different browser to
   get to the site?

 * It should be related to some functions that runs after you login (as TychoMonolith
   can access the wp-admin screen), to check where the problem is, you can change
   the php setting:
 * display_errors from off to on, and access your website again, the error will 
   show up, the you can resolve the problem according to the error.
