    Hello,

I would like to ask you if there is any option how to anonymize/hide the data collected by the plugin that are stored in BO, in addition to Mailchimp Platform to which the plugin is connected with. I say this because of the strict regulations of GDPR where “anonymization” of data is stressed on nowadays. I know that many plugins have implemented the option to do not collect or hide data stored in BO (partially e.g. IP: 168.165.xxx..) to be compliant. So I would like to ask you whether there is some option to do this step also about the Easy Forms for Mailchimp.

    Thank you
    Best regards
    Jan

    Hello Jan,

Our plugin does not store any data of your customers. We do pull data from MailChimp using their API. Most of the data that we pull is cached for an hour but after that it is deleted. The plugin stores nothing else.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hello Kevin,

well, I meant particularly the section “Mailing list” in which you see the Emailing list that contains all subscribed email adresses + their IP’s when entering in one of them. And this is already considered as a personal data acording to GDPR where you can connect the IP with Email adress. And I was wondering whether there is some option that will allow me to not gather these data, or at least to provide some “anonymize” option.

    Best regards

    Hi Jan,

We did not think we would need to change the way this page worked because we aren’t storing the personal information. However, I understand if you’d rather not fetch this data at all. I think that adding a setting to turn this page off would be a good solution because anonymizing the data would make the page fairly pointless.

We can add an option to disable this page.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin,

if there is the option to turn the page off, it will be very welcomed and will solve the issue. The meaning of the page was clear and helpful so the user had an option to see the subscriber list right in BO, however because of GDPR many things has changed…
Anyway, thank you for your helpfullness and I will be looking forward to the new update.

    Best regards
    Jan
