    I have the latest WP + WooCommerce + Smooshit (free version) installed. I always get an annoying notice, even when I press close – it keeps appearing on every page. Please help! Heres the notice itself:

    <div class=”notice notice-info is-dismissible wp-smush-update-info”>
    <p>Welcome to the newest version of WP Smush! Auto-smushing on upload is lightning fast now that we handle all the smushing asynchronously. Find out more here >></p>
    <button type=”button” class=”notice-dismiss”><span class=”screen-reader-text”>Скрыть это уведомление.</span></button></div>

    [Moderator note: code fixed. Please wrap code in the backtick character or use the code button.]

  • Hi @ssgranin,

    If the notice isn’t going away with the click, can you possibly try adding ?dismiss_smush_update_info=1 or if there is already a argument in URL, add &dismiss_smush_update_info=1 at the end of URL, and press enter.

    It’s probably because of some error in ajax, that your preference isn’t getting saved, so in that case the above method should work alright.

    Cheers

    Hi Umesh!
    Worked like a charm, thanks!

    Good to know.

    Cheers, Umesh

    On the subject of annoying messages, is there any way to get rid of the email collection from the admin console? (i.e. .frash-notice-email). I’ve hidden it for my client using CSS for now but would rather avoid workarounds if possible.

    Dismissing the notice doesn’t seem to be remembered.

    Also, while I’m here, is there any way to buy a license to Smush only? I’d rather do away with all the up-sell and have no issue supporting the developers of the plugin, but I really have no need for the full $50p/m package.
