Hi, I’m a french student so my English is not very good..Please forgive me.

Your plugin is so cool !

I’ve just download your plugin and on your timeline examples, your announcements appears on both sides but mine don’t…

    Here’s the page : http://guillaume.gendre.mmi-lepuy.fr

I’ve got another problem : the text underneath the title don’t appears correctly : only the first 105 letters appears…while my announcement contain more letters.

Thanks if you look at it.
    Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume,

I’m not entirely sure – but can you try just placing the shortcode on a page, in the standard WordPress WYSIWYG and not within one of the Origin page builder? It may have something to do with that. It looks like the even announcement containers are empty.

    Thanks,
    Evan

What do you mean that the text doesn’t appear correctly? Can you elaborate? It looks ok on my end.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

For example my third announcement contain all this text (in the back-end):
“Brevet mention BIEN (Je possède un Bac Scientifique Science de l’Ingénieur option Informatique et Science du Numérique Mention essai test)” and the timeline show just the beginning…

    Thanks,
    Guillaume

    Hi Guillaume,

That is correct. That is what’s called an ‘excerpt’, and is the beginning of your announcement. Users will have to click the ‘read more’ link, or the icon on the timeline, to view the rest of the announcement.

If you need longer announcements, you can toggle the setting for the excerpt length on the settings page.

Additionally, you can enable HTML excerpts, to allow for custom excerpts with no limit to be used.

    https://www.wp-timelineexpress.com/documentation/enable-html-excerpts/

Additionally, you can just use the entire content of the announcement in palce of the excerpts by either customizing the template being used, or hooking in and displaying the_content() instead of the_excerpt().

If you would like to achieve the last one, it is a bit outside the scope of the plugin – since we have not yet setup a documentation article for it. Feel free to upgrade to the pro version, and submit a support request from within the plugin – and I’ll gladly send you over the necessary code snippets.

Otherwise, my recommendation would be to use the HTML snippets that we have outlined in our documentation linked above.

    Thanks!
