 * Hello,
 * I have subscribed to WP announcement list but still dont get notified once there
   is a new version of WP out.
    Can you please tell me how do i make it so i get
   notified by email once there is an update available?

 * Get the folks in charge of it to actually use it. I’ve been subscribed to it 
   going on 3 years now and have never seen a message come in from it. I assume 
   they’ve come to rely on the info filtering out through the Dashboard news items,
   or the new ‘update’ feature in current versions of WordPress.

 * You will see a yellow bar below your admin navigation if a newer version is availiable.
