 * I’ve written a new plugin to allow you to shut off comments on your blog automatically
   after a certain number of days. This should be pretty useful for cutting down
   comment spam, a lot of which seems to end up on old blog entries.
 * This plugin also allows you to keep comments open on entries whose discussion
   is still ongoing.
 * The plugin can be configured via a page on the “Options” section of your dashboard.
