I'm releasing version 1.0 of a plugin called Quick Post that provides a one-function, theme-aware "simple" posting form.

Coupled with some JavaScript (the show/hide JavaScript method is included!), this lets you put an easily accessible and collapsable post form anywhere on the blog. I use it in a blog I manage to provide the authors with a small post form in the sidebar that they can show if they want to quickly write a post.

As I mentioned above, the plugin is theme-aware and will load its controlling style sheet from the current theme directory if it can find it. Otherwise it will load its default style sheet from the plugin directory.

Hi everyone! I hope that some of you can help me with this problem:

I’m able to call the plugin where I want, but I don’t know how to tweak it (I’m a newbie). What I want to do, is to show the categories and some fields from the advanced editing menu (which are placed under the post form in admin cp panel). Is that possible? I know that the categories are possible, but what about the advanced editing tools? I’m using the EventCalendar (http://blog.firetree.net/2005/07/18/eventcalendar-30/), and I want to be able to edit the timestamp (which I need to do when I use the event calendar) with the quick post plugin.

It would be great if you could tell me how to show the categories, and if possible, fields from the advanced editing menu, with the quick post plugin.

I’ve managed to get the categories now, but I don’t know how to get the "edit timestamp" field. I only want that field. I Really hope this is possible.

(I've also posted this on your site cameroon, but maybe someone in here can help too).

I still hope this is possible :) This is the last thing I have to do before the site is finished, and it's a quite important thing. The people I'm making it for wants the site finished next week..

    Thanks :)
