Android upload

I am looking for a way to integrate information from a custom made Android application to upload/sync with my wordpress/buddypress website.

Can anyone suggest the easiest way of doing this.
My thoughts have been towards the upload of a csv file or maybe using XML.

The information being passed to the site is from a simple SQL table and would need to populate a simple SQL table, before being presented on the website.

Any help is much appreciated.
