    Hi Michael,

Great observation! I didn’t see that one and I am surprised this hasn’t been picked up by someone else earlier.

I have just released version 5.3 of the plugin which will address this precise issue. Sometimes it may take several minutes until the update is visible on your website. You can also just download version 5.3 from the plugin site and manually upload it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-linkedin-auto-publish/

Also feel free to leave a review of the plugin as well. Thanks and have a nice weekend 🙂

A few are still leaking through. Take a look at https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/6462459 – A few messages down, there’s a ’ coming through – some type of apostrophe I think.

Would you mind taking a look? Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for alerting me to this issue. This is now resolved in the latest version of the plugin 5.4. I only did half the job before but now it should work with all special characters 🙂

    Thanks

Still a little weirdness happening. Check out the post entitled “H&M Taking 20K SF in Tyler” – the title is OK but the text under the featured image is broken – the ampersand.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

What shortcode did you use to create the post? Was it:
    [POST_TITLE] – [POST_LINK]
    ?

For the share method selected in the plugin settings do you currently have simple or advanced selected?

    Thanks,

    and Advanced.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for this confirmation. I can see this issue relates to using the advanced share mode. I have now updated to the plugin to version 5.5 to address this specific issue. I appreciate your feedback and realise it must be pretty frustrating going through these issues, but I am fairly confident these have all been resolved now. The gist of it is that I didn’t realise WordPress provided these fields to me in different formats.

    Thanks Michael,

No worries! I get it. We’re chipping away at the bugs. We’ll install the update and monitor it daily for a week and let you know. Thanks for being so responsive!

    MPT.
