[resolved] Paragraph & BR Tag Not Working Correctly For Posts (10 posts)

    For some reason wordpress displays an entire post within paragraph tags

    ie. < p > YOUR ENTIRE POST < / p>

    So instead of having proper paragraphs the post's paragraphs are done using the < BR / > tag.

    How can I get wordpress to use the paragraph tag correctly for posts.

    Thanks.

    Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.

    Please refer to the content on the right hand side underneth the main title graphic. I've added a margin to the br tag, but this has had no effect in safari.

    You have some markup issues and CSS errors that may be causing problems.

    thanks I fixed the markup issues, I had a look through the list of CSS errors, there is nothing in there that would conflict with the front page. Most of the errors listed are are from plugins.

    What code are you using to generate that text on the right?

    <div class="front<?php echo ($i > 0)? "invisible" : NULL; ?>" id="top_home_<?php echo $i ?>">
    <h1><img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/img/logobig.gif" alt="Theo Chalmers Photographer" /></h1>
                <h2><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>"><?php echo $custom_fields["title"][0] ?></a></h2>
                <h3><?php echo $custom_fields["subtitle"][0] ?></h3>
                <?php the_excerpt(); ?>

            </div>

    This is the code found on single.php

    <div class="bb">
                <?php the_content(); ?>
                <div class="clear"></div>
            </div>

    Try replacing ?php the_excerpt(); ?> with ?php the_content(); ?>.
