Support » Plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin » Anchors Not Working

I’m building a WordPress site with the Vantage Theme (http://www.aerial.panocea.us/). I’m growing fond of SiteOrigin’s tool set, Live Editor and more as I learn its features.

The problem which gets me to writing relates to the use of anchors. In general, there seems to be trouble using any means, be it by introducing anchors using a plugin (I’ve tried many) or by typing out the code directly.

And just to be clear, the coding for where the website viewer lands looks like this: <a id="#deeds"></a> – an invisible element on the rendered page. This example assumes the same page. A more complete URL path is needed if they’re to be sent elsewhere to a separate page.

How the website visitor gets there is from clicking a link whose code looks like this: <a href="#deeds">Exhaustive Deed Research</a>

Has this issue been previously discovered? Does it rest with HTML5?, WordPress? or SiteOrigin?, or all of the above?, or am I missing something?

On a related note, it would be nice if the bundle of widgets could have a little widget for entering id hash tags and their related calling hrefs.

    Thank you very much guys!

Oops – my bad. I have a # where it shouldn’t have been; i.e., <a id="#deeds"></a> where it instead should be corrected to <a id="deeds"></a>

Sorry to have caused anybody else to have heartburn.
