Support » Plugin: Nav Menu Manager » Anchor not saved

  • Hi,

    I installed the plugin solely for use of the anchor field, but it is not stored. What I do is this:

    1- Go to Appearance -> menus and select a menu
    2- Open a menu item (page)
    3- Fill in the anchor field with an existing anchor on the page
    4- Save the menu
    5- Open the page item in the menu again

    Now the anchor field is empty. Is this reproducable on other sites?

    @uniquemade,

    I haven’t had this issue. The custom fields are working with no issues on multiple sites that I maintain. Perhaps you stumbled across an incompatibility. Could you please list the theme and plugins you are using so I can do some research into what might be causing this?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Could you please also check the console and see if any errors are being thrown?

    Sure, it’s not that long a list:

    Theme: Arthur of Shape5: https://www.shape5.com/wordpress/themes/arthur_-_wordpress_club_theme.html

    plugins:
    – Akeeba Backup for WordPress
    – Form Maker
    – Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP)
    – Smart Slider 3
    – Widget Options
    – Yoast SEO

    And I have one plugin which is deactivated:
    – Elementor

    I got the plugins activated and still don’t see the issue. I cannot install the theme since it’s not free. You can contact me via the form at https://robertnoakes.com/contact/ so we can take this offline and try to iron our the bug. There are two options:

    1. Provide me with a copy of the theme so I can test it on my side.
    2. Give me temporary admin access so I can check the admin to see if there are any obvious issues. Did you check the console to see if any JS errors are thrown?

    Thank you,
    Robert

    @uniquemade,

    I haven’t heard from you yet. Were you able to iron this out?

    @uniquemade,

    Still haven’t heard from you. I’m guessing you found a suitable replacement? If I don’t hear from you by next week, I’m going to close this ticket out.

    Thank you,
    Robert

    Closing this one out for now since I was unable to duplicate the issue. Please open another ticket if you would like to discuss this issue further or if you have any other issues.

    Thank you,
    Robert
