Support » Plugin: Nimble Page Builder » Anchor links only work for first entry

  • I setup anchor links for my support section and also created a sub-menu of answers for easy access on mobile and desktop. I haven’t created the mobile menu yet because I can’t get passed the desktop menu.

At the top of the homepage – the very first link from the dropdown works as it should “How to Stream & Download Premium Content” but each subsequent link below it generates a 404.

Since these links are external from the page being used – I set them up as or exactly as instructed.

I verified that all the other links were created correctly. Why is the first one the only one that works? I tried clearing my cache and disabling Cloudfare to no avail. All of my plugins are disabled while working on this so I’m not certain as to why one works and the others do not.

    Any suggestions?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The second link of your menu points to a 404 page, with or without the anchor.
The page does not exists with this url.
This is not a Nimble Builder problem.

I see what the issue is. The first one works because I actually set that up as a page but also set it up as an accordion. The page is a redirect for new subscribers to get them started because I hadn’t setup anchor links yet. I just selected the wrong one when I added the anchor link to the support menu.

My format was wrong. “Support” is the main class and “HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IF YOU CAN’T LOG IN” is sub. It would be formatted as not as

I have all the accordion questions in their own section (not in a single section) for it to work – I added the anchor URL to the accordion module and then select “display first item expanded” not to the “section” the “accordion” module was located in.

This way – when I setup my menu and the sub-menus they show up as a drop down list for users to scroll and click on a query – it automatically takes them to that page and it’s already expanded.

    Brilliant! Exactly what I wanted.

Now that that is resolved – I have a teeny request. How about providing the option to have all the accordions closed when viewing the whole page for easier scrolling and to automatically expand only when the link is clicked directly from an external area of the site like a sub-menu. Something like “expand on click” JAS

    Well done.
About your request, it is possible and would require a custom javascript development. It is not scheduled to be added for the moment.
    Set as resolved.

That’s fine. I’ve set the support page up in a way that forces people to scroll through the individual options that will take them directly to the answer as opposed to seeing just an entire page of opened solutions.

It’s just a suggestion for future consideration. Thanks!
