I just installed some anchor links in a long website page that I built in a WordPress website under development.

The software that I used to create the anchor links was TinyMCE Advanced 4.02.

The anchor links work fine in Chrome 34 but not in Safari 5 which is an issue.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Anchors on Safari are a known issue, you can Google it. The fix is to add a / before the linkname. So, for example, for Chrome etc you might link with:
instead, this url form works with Chrome etc and Safari:

Having the same problem with safari.

My website is quadrabooks.com. My menu links are domain/pagename/#anchor. They work OK in IE, Foxpro and Chrome. Safari sends you to domain/pagename.

On the page domain/pagename the anchor address domain/pagename/#anchor works fine in Safari.

I am using the latest version of WordPress on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 OS.

I get the same results with an Apple MacAir

@Andrew Croll - could you start your own thread - this one is marked resolved and not likely current - since it's well-outdated.

    You can do so here:
