I know how to manually code anchor links. I have done it successfully before; see here: https://lostladle.com/for-carnivores/#seafood

That link correctly takes you down to the middle of the page, to SoFISHticated Entree.

In attempting to add anchor links to a new site – different theme, but same theme builders – it simply isn’t working.

That link should jump you halfway down the page and it does not. It’s not working.

I was using a text box; I changed it to plain html.
In the plain html box I’ve tried all of the options below, none worked.
    <div id=”web-portfolio”></div>

As I read that WP will “strip” an empty a tag in a text box.
The anchor I used on the other page is — and that one works, and it resides within a text box … ?!

Any idea what’s going on here?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

It’s working just fine for me.

Make sure you’re using https://akadesign.co/website-design/#web-portfolio (without the trailing slash)

Shut the front door!!! I knew I had it correct. Oy vey – it’s always one single character that trips you up, isn’t it?!! I didn’t know that trailing slash could pose a problem. Huh – learned something!

Thank you so, so much! Sometimes, ya just need another set of eyes.
