    Good afternoon,

Since a week ago, my Google Site Kit/Analytics has stopped receiving data. It worked fine before August 28th, but after that the user data is at 0 (I and other coworkers have been entering the page to see if it logged out data, but it’s not working).

I upgraded wordpress and the site kit plugin some days before this happening, I checked the settings in the site kit with my id’s from analytics and they seem to be identical, so I’m not sure where the problem can be.

I also have added in the headers the tags for the UA and G id’s.

My wordpress it at version 6.2.2 and my site kit is at version 1.109.0.

    What could be the problem?

    Thank you.

Thanks for getting in touch @sandranavarro. From reviewing your site, both manually and via the tagassistant.google.com service, I can see that your Analytics snippets are placed correctly, however, they are not firing based on a possible Content Security Policy (CSP) rule, see this screenshot.

Your CSP configurations may be set via a plugin or via your .htaccess file. I noticed a consent type feature on your site, and in my case when testing, even when granting consent I don’t see the tags firing.

To assist with you further on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you recalling having setup any CSP or installing a plugin to do so?

Note also that it looks like you have your Analytics snippets manually placed, along with also using Site Kit to insert your snippets.

    Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply. I added my site health to the url you shared.

Also, yes, I added a plugin called HTTP Headers to my wordpress, I fixed a couple of things and now I don’t see the messages errors that you kindly shared in the screenshot. (Just one from another plugin that is not important right now).

I added manually my Analytics snippets because I could not figure out what was the problem, maybe I don’t really need to put it manually having already my Site Kit configured correctly.

    Thank you.

Nice troubleshooting @sandranavarro. I can see now that your Analytics property is registering site visits at present after making changes or deactivating your HTTP Headers plugin.

Correct also that you don’t need to manually insert your snippets as Site Kit does this for you. Feel free to remove your manually added snippets if you wish.

Let me know if you have anymore questions with the above.

Thank you, I’ll remove the snippets.

Yes, as a last question ( a bit dumb question), In my Site Kit page I don’t see an increase in the data showed in the Dashboard -> All Users, but I see some data in the analytics page itself (also, not in the users dashboard, but in the realtime dashboard).

I’m supposing that this data will probably update after some time, like one day or so?

    Thank you for the help.

Great! That will help ensure no skewed data or double reporting.

There’s no dumb questions here, happy to assist! What you see in the real time reporting dashboard reflects your site at present, with site visits recording instantly. Site Kit uses the Analytics reporting API, which means it will show data up to the previous day. I hope that helps explain it! Note also that the “All users” you see within Site Kit reflects your “Total users”. You may be reviewing your “Active users” if viewing analytics.google.com, where it highlights a sites “active users”.

Let me know if you have any further questions on the above. If not, I’ll mark this topic as resolved.
