Hi @bosendorfer,
For the analytics being set on “Marketing”, could you post your URL, so we can have a look?
After clicking on “Add new cookie”, the cookie should be set under “Cookies without selected service”, it will have a random name.
If you can’t find it, could you have a look if you have any console errors, when trying to add a new cookie?
regards Aert
Hi @aahulsebos,
Thanks for your replay
May I send you the URL privately?
In the meantime I inform you that for the problem of adding a new cookie I have succeeded, deleting all cookies and doing a rescan.
But the problem of analytics cookies sent with the sole acceptance of the Marketing category persists.
Best regards
Raf
I try to give you some more indications to facilitate a possible answer.
The analytics cookies I receive are 4: _ga, _gid, _gat, _gat_gtag_UA_XXXXXXX_1.
The wizard has arranged them in two different categories: Goole analytics for the first two and Google tag manager for both _gat.
The behavior when I select the categories is the following:
– if I select only the Statistics, _ga, _gat, _gat are enabled
– if I select only the Marketing (without also selecting Statistics) all four are enabled
Obviously in my tests I delete all cookies before each test.
I hope this detail can help you understand what the problem could be, what was wrong with the settings.
Thank you very much in advance,
Best Regards,
Raf
Hi,
I managed to solve the problem. I deleted the analytics script manually embedded and made sure it was only handled by your plugin.
This way analytics cookies are ONLY enabled when I select Statistics.
One of the cookies, _gat_gtag_UA_XXXXXXX_1., is gone, now I only have the other three cookies that I listed in the previuos message, but it still seems to track correctly.
I thank you for all your help in these days and I wish you a good day.
Of course we can mark as resolved!!!
Raf
