  • So far my experience with WordPress plug-ins has been great….except for this. I am a beginner so maybe I am just doing something wrong. Anyway the code that shows up when I use the plug-in is as follows:

    <script type=”text/javascript”>
    var _gaq = _gaq || [];
    _gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ”UA-20476851-4”]);
    (function() {
    var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true;
    ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘’;
    var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);

    But the code that Google gives me is different:
    (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),

    ga(‘create’, ‘UA-20476851-4’, ‘’);
    ga(‘send’, ‘pageview’);

    So I don’t know where to go from here. Google says tracking is not installed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Just to confuse things more, I did have this plug-in installed earlier and it worked. But I had to move the analytics into my main properties section. I had is as a separate one before.
