I added analytics code to my site at http://www.catholictravelblog.com yesterday. So far nothing has been reported. It has been 24 hours so I don't know if I did something wrong or just needed to wait longer.
So far my experience with WordPress plug-ins has been great....except for this. I am a beginner so maybe I am just doing something wrong. Anyway the code that shows up when I use the plug-in is as follows:
var _gaq = _gaq || ;
ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script'); s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
But the code that Google gives me is different:
ga('create', 'UA-20476851-4', 'catholictravelblog.com');
So I don't know where to go from here. Google says tracking is not installed. Any help would be appreciated.
Just to confuse things more, I did have this plug-in installed earlier and it worked. But I had to move the analytics into my main properties section. I had is as a separate one before.
