    Hi,
few weeks ago I installed the Site Kit to my WP site – didn’t know what I was doing then.
Today I wanted to start using the Site Kit, so to be sure, I deactivated the plugin and deleted it. Then I installed and activated the newest Site Kit.

First problem: I was not able to activate the Site Kit plugin using Vivaldi browser. It was solved by anonymous Chrome.

Second problem: I am not able to activate Analytics. It says “Cannot read property ‘call’ of undefined”

    Screenshot: https://snipboard.io/ro1WRP.jpg

Any idea how to resolve this issue?

    I tried deactivating/activating, reinstalling.
    I tried deleting browser cache.

UPDATE: felixarntz/clear-opcache-simple.php plugin does not help.
All other plugins updated – no difference.
W3 Total Cache – empty all caches – does not help

@elein Sorry to hear you’ve been encountering issues with setup. Seems like you’ve attempted many of the existing setup steps already. The issue you are encountering could be related to this GitHub issue.

Can you attempt disconnecting the Analytics module from Site Kit before connecting once more from a Chrome incognito window? If that fails please share the following:
    – Your site URL
    – Your XHR response after refreshing the page where you encounter the error
    – Any console errors which appear

    1. Chrome incognito
    2. felixarntz/clear-opcache-simple.php plugin activated
    3. W3 Total Cache – empty all caches
    4. Site Kit – Settings – Analytics disconnected
    5. Analytics connected – no difference (“Cannot read property ‘call’ of undefined”)

    XHR of the Site Kit – Analytics: {“wp-auth-check”:true,”server_time”:1579791519}

Hi @elein. Would you please try clearing your browser’s cache and your CDN if you use one (such as Cloudflare). This issue is specific to some assets cached in the browser (and/or CDN) which aren’t re-fetched after updating. Please give that a try and let us know if that fixes it for you 🙂

    Thread Starter elein

    (@elein)

Hi Evan, I already tried clearing browser cache. I also used incognito mode which should not cache anything.
    I also deleted WP cache.

I do not use any CDN.

Today I logged in to the WP and Analytics works!
I did absolutely nothing, nothing updated automatically, everything seems to be the same.

    Just one question:
How long should it take to gather all the data? Because for 10 minutes it only shows:
    Analytics Gathering Data
Analytics data is not yet available, please check back later.

@elein Good to hear you finally got it working.

When setting up Analytics did you use an existing Analytics property or create a new one? Please check the property from your Site Kit settings (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Property) and compare that to the same property from within you Analytics account.

    Thread Starter elein

    (@elein)

James, the thing is the Analytics work when I go to “analytics.google.com”.
Also I can see the realtime data through Google Analytics Dashboard for WP.
But the Site Kit – Analytics still shows “Analytics Gathering Data”.

“Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Property” is the same as in “analytics.google.com”.

@elein thanks for your confirmation. Could you reset the Analytics connection: Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit and then go to Connect More Services to reconnect Analytics.

If the data is still shown as gathering, could you check again for any browser console errors and XHR responses on the dashboard and Analytics admin page and share them here.

    Thread Starter elein

    (@elein)

Renee, there is no difference after resetting Analytics connection.

XHR responses on the dashboard and Analytics admin page:
    []
(there is nothing except these brackets)

After a while it adds the time:
    {"wp-auth-check":true,"server_time":1579906649}

    Edit:
The only thing in Console tab is this:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1

@elein Can you attempt temporarily deactivating the Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress before reconnecting the Analytics module once more?

    Thread Starter elein

    (@elein)

Hi, update – It works now. I don’t know how is this possible – because again I did not install any updates neither did I deactivated the Google Analytics Dashboard.
    It works 🙂
