analytics and search engine results

Hi all, this is more a request for advise than a specific question. Looking at stats today, and checking the search strings that pulled up my site in the list of results.

Eg. My post made last week and several posts ago about StarWars.
User searches for starwars, gets result for my blog, but not for specific post about starwars, unless it was last written post. Basically it seems all searches point to my domain/blog regardless of where the information is in relation to blog. How to get search results to point to specific relevant post.
New to SEO, so any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
