    Hi,

I want to use this plugin to enable enhanced ecommerce. At this moment UA-id and GA4-id are already implemented using Google Tag manager.

If I fill in the id’s of UA and GA4 in the plugin’s settings (and tick “Add global site tracking caode ‘gtag.js’), and check it with Google’s Tag Assistant I get 2 errors/notices:
    – there are multiple installations of Global site tag (gtag.js) detected and
    – the same web property ID is tracked twice.

In UA I do not see double pageviews/visits.

Is this going to go okay this way? Or what is the best way to fill in the settings of the plugin when Analytics is already set using GTM? I want to keep this, as there are more tracking settings in GTM that use the UA-id.

Thanks for your advise and support!

    Hi @squasher,

    Thanks for creating this thread.

The plugin out of the box inserts GA tracking snippet, so if you have multiple installations of gtag.js then there would be duplication in the page view tracking.

Just FYI, the plugin requires a GA tracking snippet(gtag.js) to be available in the code of every page to track data. So, if the gtag.js snippet gets inserted via the GTM and if you uncheck the option “Add global site tracking code ‘gtag.js’” in the plugin settings, then tracking would not work. You could refer to this FAQ for more detail.

Also, you can refer to this FAQ which explains how you can use the plugin along with GTM.

    Hope the above helps.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.
