    Good day.

    I have installed wamp with wordpress to do some offline work on my site.
    but everytime i log in, I get the following error:

    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in C:\wamp\www\Developing\wp-includes\update.php on line 295

    and

    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in C:\wamp\www\Developing\wp-includes\update.php on line 457

    When i connect to the internet, the error messages are not there.

    The reason i want to be offline is so that I dont use my internet data connection.

    What could be the problem? Please help. Total noob

    This error is likely due to an issue with yours’/ hosts’ server. If your site is on a remote server, try contacting your hosting provider about this.
