 * I heard that there is a open source project behind WordPress, BBpress, it’s like
   a php framework, is it true, where can I find more information about it?

 * WordPress itself is an open source project, and bbPress is based on WordPress.
   Any framework that it was based on when it first began has long been replaced
   by core functions. Is there anything in particular that you wanted to know?

 * Yes, I understand what you mean, but as I remember I’ve been a website, which
   is released by Automattic, and it says that it’s for a project of a PHP framework,
   that’s a framework based on wordpress/bbpress, it’s the core of wordpress/bbpress,
   users can use the framework to build up new websites.

 * Are you sure that you aren’t thinking of [BuddyPress](http://buddypress.org/)?
   BuddyPress is a social networking platform built on WordPress as a framework.
 * Pretty much everything that Automattic does uses WordPress as a framework. There
   is no “core of wordpress/bbpress” because WordPress is the core.
