An Intruder in My Blog

  • A sneaky intruder got into my blog three days ago. S/He turned off two of my posts, making them “private” instead of “public”. When I tried to edit these two posts, the network simply took forever to display the contents. However, when I clicked on other parts of WordPress, there was no such problem.

What could be the cause of this problem? And what loophole is there to enable that intruder to get into my blog and even lock up those two posts from further editing?

  • Make sure you’ve got the latest version of WP, 2.0.7 was just released a few hours ago, upgrade to that.

Change your passwords and contact your host.

Thank you, msadventures. I had contacted my host. Will certainly change my passwords. Might wait awhile though before upgrading because my WordPress was installed using Fantastico.

Question: If I upgrade now, would I still be able to use Fantastico for future upgrades?
