Support » Plugin: Simple Custom Post Order » An incredible time saver (and compatible with Divi)

  • I maintain a website with a few magazine-like landing pages, and my content creator colleague – who isn’t highly experienced with WordPress – needed to be able to order the posts by current relevance, and not by date.

I taught her to manipulate the publication date to achieve the desired results, but that approach is cumbersome and prone to error.

With Simple Custom Post Order, she can just filter the posts for any given category, and drag and drop the posts into the desired order. That’s incredibly more user friendly.

Same goes with our 30+ categories. They were presented seemingly randomly in both the post editor and Divi, but re-ordered with Simple Custom Post Order, the categories now reflect the order used on the website, and its much easier for everyone to find and select the right category and thus maintain better data quality.

Simple Custom Post Order probably works with many or most themes and page builders, and I can specifically confirm that it works well with Divi for Elegant Themes.

Thanks a lot! And keep up the good work 🙂

Thank you so much, @oldrup! We appreciate your kind words!

I can’t get it to work with Divi Projects. I’ve tried half a dozen times and can’t think of anything different that I should be doing to make it work.

And there’s zero documentation or how-to video, just a few screenshots, which are not helpful.

    So far, fail.
